Teen’s Wallet Stolen From Taco Bell Counter: Nassau County Police
A teen’s wallet containing identification, bank cards, and cash was stolen from a Taco Bell on Long Island, police announced on Saturday, Sept. 5.
The 16-year-old girl was inside the Taco Bell at 3076 Long Beach Road around 11:40 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 12, when she put her wallet on the counter, according to Nassau County Police Fourth Squad detectives.
An unknown man then took it, police said.
The wallet contained a New York learner’s permit, debit card, credit card, and an undisclosed amount of cash, authorities said.
Police are investigating the theft as grand larceny.

Burglar Steals PS5, Clothes From Nassau County Home: Police
A PlayStation 5, controllers, and clothing were taken from a Long Island home while its occupants were away, police said.
The burglary happened at a June Place home in West Hempstead around 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25, Nassau County Police said.
A 62-year-old woman and 28-year-old man returned to find someone had entered the residence without permission and taken a PS5 console, two controllers, and assorted clothing, according to detectives.

21-Year-Old LI Woman Hit With Four Child Porn Charges, State Police Say
A young Long Island woman was arrested for possessing child porn on Thursday, Sept. 3, police said.
Taylor Hope Culkin, 21, of Lake Ronkonkoma, was arrested following an investigation, according to New York State Police, who did not provide additional information in the case.
Culkin was hit with four counts of possessing a sexual performance by a child under age 16, state police said. She was released ahead of her arraignment, which is set for Thursday, Sept. 24, according to authorities.
The case was first reported back on May 29, according to a state police report.

A Long Island man who was driving 121 mph and recording his actions on his phone before causing a deadly car crash has pleaded guilty, authorities said.
Felix Pantaleon, 24, of Lindenhurst, copped to one count of second-degree manslaughter on Friday, Sept. 4, the Suffolk County District Attorney’s office said. He is expected to get a four- to 12-year prison sentence, according to authorities.

After Eight-Year Fight, Nassau Business Owner Finally Coughs Up $400K Unpaid Wages: DA
A Long Island business owner was finally forced to pay more than $400,000 he owed employees following an eight-year battle, authorities said Friday, Sept. 4.
Richard Scores, owner of Westbury Fish, owed $435,000 in unpaid wages to 38 employees and agreed to repay them in a January 2017 plea deal, the Nassau County District Attorney’s office said.
But Scores dodged the restitution payments for eight years, until authorities “took action against Scores’ assets” and forced the repayments in June 2026, the DA’s office said.

Josue Duran, 33, of Riverhead, was booked for promotion and possession of a sexual performance by a child, the Suffolk County Police Department said.

Rory Anderson, 32, of Freeport, was arrested Thursday, Sept. 3 for the incident that occurred back on Wednesday, July 29, the Nassau County Police Department said.

Spencer M. Korwin, 38, of Manhattan, was found dead Wednesday afternoon, Sept. 2 under a dock in Shelter Island Sound near Crescent Beach, the Shelter Island Police Department said.

A Long Island man was high on cocaine and marijuana when he killed an elderly woman in a car crash earlier this year, authorities said Thursday, Sept. 3.
Niall Duignan, 24, of Oceanside, was indicted Thursday on nine charges in the crash that killed Patricia Pfaus, 78, in Oceanside, the Nassau County District Attorney’s office said.
Cops initially said Pfaus was seriously injured in the collision at Weidner Avenue and Long Beach Road on Thursday, June 18, but she has since died from her injuries, according to the DA’s office and an obituary from Torres Funeral Home.
