Vehicle Stolen From Driveway On Residential Street In Rye Police are urging residents to lock their cars after a vehicle was stolen from a driveway on a quiet Westchester street. The theft happened on Friday, June 21 around 3 a.m., when a car was stolen from a driveway in the area of Dearborn Avenue in Rye, according to the City of Rye Police Department.  The car had been left unlocked with the keys inside, police said. The incident prompted the department to remind residents to lock their vehicles, take the keys inside, and remove valuables.

Car Damaged By Fire On Taconic Parkway In Millwood A car fire prompted a large response from firefighters on a busy parkway in Northern Westchester. The blaze happened on Tuesday, June 25 around 5 p.m., when a car caught on fire on the southbound Taconic State Parkway in Millwood, according to the Millwood Fire Department. Fire crews soon arrived at the scene and found the burning car on the parkway's shoulder. The blaze was put out after around 45 minutes, the department said. No injuries were reported. The department did not give details on the cause of the fire.
