Mitchell Ethan Lucarelli died on Monday, May 13, according to his obituary on the Elmwood Chapel website. Ethan died an organ donor, "the last physical gifts he gave exemplified his enormous heart and love for others," his obituary says. A cause of death was not made public. Springfield Sex Assault Suspect Captured In El Salvador After Decade-Long Pursuit, Police Say After more than a decade on the run, a 27-year-old man wanted for sexual assault out of Fairfax County was captured in El Salvador, police announced. David Ernesto Cuevas Maldonado, of Springfield, fled to El Salvador after sexually assaulting his victim, a stranger, at a home on Commerce Street in Springfield on Oct. 21, 2013, county police announced on Friday, May 24. Detectives collected evidence from the scene to help identify Maldonado with the help of a DNA profile dating back to 2014, authorities said. Man Rapes Girl Under 15 In Woodbridge, Police Say A 36-year-old man is accused of raping a girl under 15 years old in northern Virginia, police said. Dennis William Caballero Mejia, of Woodbridge, was at a house on Gloucester Court with the victim on May 21 when he prevented the girl from leaving a room and sexually assaulted her, Prince William County police said. The girl was able to separate herself from Mejia and contact police. Mejia was charged with rape and abduction and held without bond, police said. It happened at 3:50 a.m. in Tewksbury, approximately 6 kilometers southwest of Gladstone, the USGS says. The Ramapo Fault System, which runs through NY, PA, NJ, MD, and VA, has clearly been a hot spot.  Countless quakes and aftershocks have developed along the system since the 4.8-magnitude earthquake on April 5.

The pedestrian, an adult male, was declared deceased at the scene. The driver of the striking vehicle remained at the scene and was later taken into custody, authorities said. Lamar Howard, of Orlando, FL, was passing through Virginia when he stopped and bought three Pick 3 tickets at the Love’s Travel Stop at 5021 Lee Highway outside Warrenton, lottery officials said.  While he was there, he helped another trucker who was having a difficult time.
