Lost Hikers In State Forest In Mamakating Rescued By Ranger Forest Rangers rescued five hikers lost and suffering from heat exhaustion and lack of water on a trailhead at a state forest in the region. The incident occurred in Sullivan County at Roosa Gap State Forest in the town of Mamakating around 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 22. 2 Pedestrians Hit, 1 Killed in CT, Driver Remains At Scene Two pedestrians were hit, and one was killed by a vehicle at a busy Connecticut intersection.  The crash occurred in Hartford County in Bristol around 4:15 a.m., Monday, June 24, in the area of Pine Street (Route 72) and Emmett Street.
