Car Plunges Into River After Being Rear-Ended On Thruway In Hudson Valley A car crashed through a guardrail and plunged into a river after being rear-ended on the New York State Thruway in Rockland County, authorities said.   The crash happened in the Village of Hillburn at around 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 13, according to New York State Police.
