Assault Suspect, 29, Subdued By Officers After Foot Chase In Lyndhurst, Police Say
A 29-year-old assault suspect is facing charges in Lyndhurst after leading officers on a foot pursuit then becoming combative during the arrest, police said.
Lyndhurst Lt. Paul Haggerty and Officer Michael Carrino were called to a dispute on the 200 block of Orient Way around 7:30 p.m. Saturday, June 20, Detective Lt. Vincent Auteri said in a release.
At the scene, officers learned one man had been assaulted by Mike Londono, a Lyndhurst resident, Auteri said.

Ambulance Driver, Landscaper From Ringwood Busted On Child Porn Charges, Sheriff Says
A newly-hired volunteer ambulance driver and landscaper from Passaic County is facing child porn charges out of Illinois involving two 13-year-old children, authorities said.
Victor E. Meza Valdez, 26, of Ringwood, was arrested on June 20, by detectives with the Passaic County Sheriff's Office on a warrant out of McHenry County, IL, Acting Passaic County Sheriff Gary Gairdina said.
During the search of Valdez's home, detectives seized several of his electronic devices, which will be transferred to the McHenry County State Attorney’s Office.

More than 8,000 New Jersey residents were without power amid another round of storms on Sunday, June 22.
PSE&G's outage map shows 5,341 were in the dark in Burlington County and more than 3,000 in Camden. The majority of the outages were in Maple Shade, Moorestown, Haddon and Pennsauken.
In Union County, nearly 1,000 had lost power in Westfield.
Smaller but more widespread outages were reported on the Jersey Shore, according to JCP&L, specifically in Long Branch, Red Bank, Asbury Park, Hazlet, Middletown, Keansburg, and Matawan.
