Bayonne Sports Icon Marty Reed Dies At 76 Marty Reed, a beloved institution in youth sports in Bayonne, died on Saturday, June 15, at the age of 76, according to his obituary on the Sweeney Funeral Home website. Reed was involved in youth sports for more than 60 years and was a "walking encyclopedia" who remembered every player from Little League and PAL basketball, going back to the 60s, his obituary reads.  He was a regular fixture at Little League games, working the scoreboard and telling stories, and at PAL basketball games, he always greeted people as they arrived, according to his obituary. At 10:30 p.m., a woman stabbed was on the 600 block Fulton Street by a man, who was later apprehended by law enforcement, a spokeswoman for the city said. Police ID Porsche Driver, 41, Killed In Linden Crash A 41-year-old North Brunswick man was killed when he crashed a Porsche in Linden the evening of Friday, June 14, authorities said. At 6:45 p.m., a Porsche Boxter driven by Justin Harmon lost control while traveling south on S. Park Avenue and veered into the northbound lane, Linden police said.  The vehicle struck a utility pole and continued off the roadway before colliding with a parked cargo trailer, police said. Harmon was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The crash remains under investigation by the Linden Police Traffic Bureau.

Motorcyclist Ejected, Airlifted In Six-Vehicle Crash On Route 78: Njsp Two people were injured in a crash between a motorcycle and five cars on Route 78 in Hunterdon County on Saturday, June 15, state police said. At 5:02 p.m., a crash occurred between five passenger vehicles and a motorcycle on Route 78 west in Clinton Township, Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said.  During the crash, one of the vehicles, a Subaru, caught on fire and the motorcyclist was ejected, Lebron said.
