Route 9 Damaged By Flooding In Hudson Valley, Closed Until Repairs Can Be Made A heavily traveled stretch of Route 9 in Dutchess County has been shut down after floodwaters damaged the roadway during overnight storms.  Route 9 is now closed between Van Wyck Lake Road and Clove Road in Fishkill because of flood damage, the Town of Fishkill Police Department announced at around 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 29. Officials said the roadway will remain closed until the New York State Department of Transportation can complete repairs.
