HOLDEN, Mass. — Holden's youngest ball players will be shining stars as they march to the diamonds this Saturday during the annual Opening Day parade.

The ceremonies will be held on Saturday, April 28 starting at 8:30 a.m., weather permitting, with the festivities to kick off with a parade of players and coaches starting at the Holden Industrial Park and ending at the Swenson Memorial Fields at the CRA — the Home of Holden Baseball.

The parade will start promptly at 8:45 a.m., and after the Opening Day ceremonies there will be many fun activities for the players, including a special surprise guest, to help get the season off to a great start. Parking, both near Industrial Drive and at the CRA fields, will be limited and always presents a challenge during and after the parade.

Those coming out to view the parade are asked to allow extra time to find parking and be respectful of area businesses, many who are sponsors of Holden Baseball, that are open for business on Saturday and need their parking spaces to conduct their business.

The rain date for Opening Day is tentatively set for Sunday, April 29.
