HOLDEN, Mass. — After a season of shining moments on the field, Holden Baseball came to a close with the Little League All Star games this weekend, after which players were awarded the Dr. Michael Gull award

The Dr. Michael Gull Award honors the late long-time Holden Baseball volunteer and coach, and is awarded to the player on each AAA, JLL and LL team who best    exemplifies the qualities he held dear: sportsmanship, character, coach-ability, enthusiasm, unselfishness and commitment to the team.

The Gull Award is the only award presented by Holden Baseball for individual achievement, and reflects the organization's priorities in player development.

The awards were presented Sunday evening by Jeff Gull, son of the late Dr. Gull and brother of Matt Gull, WRSH baseball coach.

One of the recipients of the award was Zac Vandale, pictured in the Holden Daily Voice's Photo of the Week along with Jeff Gull.
