HOLDEN, Mass. — The Holden Area Chamber of Commerce will attempt to retain its Softball Championship title Wednesday, Sept. 5, as it goes up to bat against employees of the Town of Holden.

The game is set for 5:30 p.m. at the Davis Hill Elementary School, 80 Jamieson Road.

After a three-year streak of Town Employee wins, the Chamber of Commerce struck back last year with a 14-9 victory in the annual championship softball game.

The friendly competition has become a tradition, pitting the men and women that make up Holden's business world against the firefighters, clerks, police officers and other town employees that keep the town running every day.

Players are still needed to complete the team rosters. Residents are encouraged to attend the game to cheer on their favorite team.

For additional information, contact Rosemary Scully at the town assessor’s office at 508-829-0293 or the chamber office at 508-829-9220. The event is once again sponsored by Holden Discount Oil.
