State Primary To Be Held Thursday In Holden

HOLDEN, Mass. — Holden's registered voters will have the opportunity to cast their ballots in the state primary from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 6.

The date of the primary, usually held on a Tuesday, was changed to avoid conflicts with Rosh Hashanah and Labor Day.

To participate in this primary election, a resident must be an enrolled voter in any of the three parties: Democrat, Republican or Green-Rainbow.

An unenrolled voter must declare a party on the day of the election and will automatically revert back to the unenrolled status upon casting the ballot.

Polling locations:

• Precinct 1 - Senior Center, 1130 Main St.
• Precinct 2 - Senior Center, 1130 Main St.
• Precinct 3 – Davis Hill School, 80 Jamieson Road. Voters should use the Highland Street entrance.
• Precinct 4 - Mountview School, 270 Shrewsbury St.
• Precinct 5 - Light Department, 1 Holden St.
