SHREWSBURY, Mass. — Thousands of dollars worth of toys and gifts for Shrewsbury families were stolen from St. Anne's Church Tuesday night.

"The shed we have on the property where we stored the gifts … was broken into and gifts stolen. There were gift cards to grocery stores, gas cards, Wal-Mart, Target, or other places," JoAnn Keegan of St. Anne's wrote in an email to The Daily Voice. "It is so sad because these gifts were for children."

Keegan said St. Anne's is working to make sure all children still get gifts, and that St. Anne's Family Services is seeking donations.

Those who want to donate can drop off gift cards or monetary donations to St. Anne's Human Services,  130 Boston Turnpike, Shrewsbury, MA 01545.

I think it's a new kind of low to steal from the poor. It's like taking what they don't have....

What 'Sad News'!

But I have a feeling the people will step up to the plate and resupply this charity.

Hopefully our Boys and Gals in Blue could be looking into this?
