Letter: Renzoni for Selectman

It has been an honor to serve the good people of the Town of Holden for the last three years.  We have been witness to the worst economy in possibly three generations.  To say it was a challenge would be an understatement.  However, over that period the town has created efficiencies, reestablished stabilization funds, reigned in dysfunctional enterprise accounts, and always had a positive balance in our budget at the end of each year.  I am proud to be a part of this considerable achievement.

Since a very young age I have dedicated my life to the service of others. In high school, I gave up large portions of my summer to go and assist struggling Americans in the strip-minedAppalachian Mountain states.  Immediately after graduation I joined the United States Army and began a twenty year journey culminating in two combat tours in Afghanistan.  Most recently, I have served as a member of the Town’s Memorial Day Parade Committee, as the Commander of American Legion Post 42, and as a Selectman in the town of Holden.  It is important to note thatI would not be able to accomplish a fraction of this without the love and support of my wife Jennifer and our four children.

Moving forward, my priorities over the next three years will be focused on creating furtherefficiencies in local government, continuing to provide essential town services along with a solid education for our children, and above all, reminding all elected and hired officials that we work for and are accountable to you, the people of our community.

With your support, I will continue to dedicate myself to our town over the next three years. This will not be without challenges, but with a policy based on honesty and integrity I am confidentour town will continue to prosper.

I would be honored if you will consider voting for me in the Annual Town Election on May 14th.

Anthony Renzoni
