WORCESTER/HOLDEN, Mass. – Jean “Eugenia” A. Zemaitaitis, 93, a Worcester resident for
80 years, died on Sunday, September 9, 2012 at Notre Dame Long Term Care Center in Worcester after an illness.
She is survived by two nephews, four nieces and was predeceased by two brothers, John and Vitie Zemaitis and a sister, Matilda Kortes.
She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Michael and Mary (Palubeckas) Zemaitaitis and graduated from Commerce High School.
Eugenia was a machine operator at Wright Machine for 33 years before retiring in 1978.
She was a member of the former St. Casimir Church in Worcester. She enjoyed playing
cards, bingo, sewing and was her parents’ caregiver until their passing.
Eugenia’s family wishes to thank the caregivers and staff at Notre Dame Long Term Care
Center for the care and compassion they provided.
At Eugenia’s request, a private graveside service at Notre Dame Cemetery in Worcester
will be held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Notre Dame Long Term Care Center, Patient Activities Fund, 559 Plantation Street, Worcester, MA 01605.
Funeral arrangements are under the care of Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden.
