HOLDEN, Mass. - Eileen F. (Kelliher Dolan) White, 81, died on Tuesday, Nov. 6 at St. Vincent Hospital, surrounded by her family.
She was predeceased by her husband, George J. White in 2009 and her sister, Ann C. O'Connor in 2007. She leaves three nieces, Kellyann Allyn of Holyoke, Kathleen O'Connor of Rutland and Erin Connor of Hampton, N.H.
Eileen was born in Worcester, daughter of Dennis F. and Anna R. (Melkunas) Kelliher. She graduated from Classical High School and Salter Secretarial School. She was an executive secretary at Lawrence R. McCoy, Co., Colorado Fuel and Iron, Co. and assistant budget director at United Way of Central Massachusetts.
Eileen was a member of St. George's Church and its Women's Club, the Worcester Country Club, Worcester County Women's Golf Assoc., and a longtime member of the Women's Golf Assoc. of Massachusetts. She scored two hole-in-ones during her playing years. She was a member of the Cavendish Bridge Club, American Contract Bridge League, and a former volunteer at the Memorial Hospital gift shop. At the College of the Holy Cross, she was a member of the Cornerstone Society, President's Council and the 1843 Society.
A funeral will held on Friday, Nov. 9 from Callahan and Fay Brothers Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester, with a mass at 10 a.m. in St. George's Church, 38 Brattle St., Worcester. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Worcester.
Visiting hours are Thursday, Nov. 8 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Flowers may be sent or memorial donations may be made to St. George's Church, 38 Brattle St., Worcester, 01606.
