WORCESTER, Mass. - Charles R. Henrickson, 90, died Thursday Aug. 30, 2012 in the Holy Trinity Nursing Center. His wife of 57 years, Margaret A. (O'Hearn) Henrickson died in 2003.
He leaves his daughter Joanne M. Kerrigan and her husband Mark of Sterling, two grandchildren Christine A. and Brendan M. of Sterling, two sisters Jean M. Murphy of Worcester and Louise M. Blouin of Holden, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three brothers Francis P., Richard F., and Paul F. Henrickson and three sisters Helen M. Lawson, Elizabeth M. Clayborne, and Julia M. Cronin.
Robert was born in Worcester, son of Gustaf C. and Elizabeth M. (Moore) Henrickson and lived here his entire life. He graduated from Worcester Boys Trade High School in 1940. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, and was a sheet metal worker at Norton Company and Warner & Swasey, retiring in 1983.
He was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Church and the American Legion.
Robert's family thanks the dedicated staff at the Holy Trinity Nursing Center for their skilled and compassionate care.
The funeral service will be Saturday, Sept. 1 at 10 a.m. in the Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., Worcester. Burial will follow in Saint John's Cemetery, Worcester. There are no calling hours.
