Mark Stafford, 54, Holden Landscaper, Outdoorsman

HOLDEN, Mass. – Mark P. Stafford of Holden died Jan. 5 at St. Vincent Hospital after an illness. He was 54.

Born March 1, 1958, in Worcester, Stafford graduated from Wachusett Regional High School in 1976. He later graduated from ITT Tech. He worked as a tree tech and landscaper in the Worcester County area for many years.

An avid New England sports fan, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.

Stafford is survived by a son, Matthew L. Stafford, of Hubbardston; his mother, Maureen I. Cox Stafford, of Holden; two brothers, Roger K. Stafford, of Holden, and Keith T. (Dale) Stafford, of Princeton; a sister, Wendy M. Stafford, of Shrewsbury; and several aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces. His father, Kenneth R. Stafford, predeceased him.

Visitation is 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Miles Funeral Home in Holden. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
