HOLDEN, Mass. — In celebration of Cuatro De Mayo, The Wachusett Area Rotary Club will be hosting a dinner dance to raise money for their many charitable activities.
The community is invited to join the club for the festivities, which will feature a Tequila, Hot Sauces and Salsa, and International Cheeses Tasting, a buffet dinner and a Jumping Bean dance.
Both locally and globally, the Rotary has been actively engaged in charitable causes and projects ranging from providing scholarships for high school seniors in the Wachusett area to supporting organizations like the Wachusett Food Pantry, NEADS and Coats for Kids.
Following the devastating earthquake in Haiti, the Rotary helped raise enough funds to rebuild a school that had been destroyed. After years of continued support and dedicated work, the project was completed, and since last September, Haitian children have been able to go back to a brand new school.
The Cuatro De Mayo event will be held on Friday, May 4 at the Manor Restaurant in West Boylston. The Tequila and Cheeses tasting will begin at 6:30 p.m., with the dinner to follow at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets are $40 per person and $75 per couple, or a table of 10 can be made up for $350.
Checks can be made out to The Wachusett Rotary Club, and mailed to P.O Box 635, Holden, MA 01520.
The event is sponsored by McKinlay's Liquors and Sysco. For more information about the Rotary, visit www.wachusettarearotary.org.
