Gale Free Library Planning 125th Anniversary

HOLDEN, Mass — A big celebration is in the works for next year when the Gale Free Library will turn 125, and committee meetings plan to organize a special gala to mark the anniversary.

In preparation for the 2013 events, the library's staff, Friends of the Gale Free Library, and the Trustees of Damon Memorial have formed an anniversary committee. The community is invited to get involved and contribute ideas to start planning the festivities.

To learn more about how to help, residents can get in touch with either of two staff members coordinating the celebration: local history librarian Nancy Richards (nrichard@cwmars.org) or children’s assistant Kim Challenger (kchallengerlibrary@gmail.com).
