HOLDEN, Mass. — The Holden Department of Public Works will begin the second phase of the 18-inch drain line replacement on Quinapoxet Street, weather permitting, on May 14.
Inclement weather predicted for this week may delay the start date by several days.
This work will necessitate the closing of Quinapoxet Street, from Wachusett Street to Princeton Street, to all thru traffic between the hours of 7 AM and 3 PM.
The purpose of this construction is to complete the replacement of the 18-inch drain line that failed last year. The drainage work will take place between Tannery Drive and Mill Street.
The work is expected to take approximately four weeks to complete. Later this year, following the completion of this drainage work, Quinapoxet Street will be repaved.
During the construction hours, no thru traffic will be allowed through the work area. Access for residents into and out of the immediate construction area will be limited at times, so please plan accordingly.
Residents with any questions or that are in need of further information regarding this project are encouraged to contact the Department of Public Works at (508) 210-5550 or by email at jwoodsmall@holdenma.gov. Thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation during the construction process.
