Commerce Bank Collects Food Donations This Month

Commerce Bank will be collecting food donations for the Worcester County Food Bank to help them stock up for the holiday season at their 13 offices throughout Central Massachusetts this month.

"The continued high demand for the services of the Worcester County Food Bank is a clear indicator of the persistence of our economic woes," said Commerce Bank President and CEO Brian Thompson. "We encourage our customers and the public to help the Food Bank serve those in need by dropping non-perishable food items in our offices' collection bins."

The Worcester County Food Bank is largest anti-hunger organization in Central Mass., distributing over 5.8 million pounds of donated food and grocery product annually in partnership with food donors, financial supporters, and volunteers.

"The Food Bank is where the community's goodwill comes together to make a difference - one can of food, one volunteer, and one dollar at a time to help families at Thanksgiving and throughout the year," said Jean McMurray, executive director of the Worcester County Food Bank. "We are grateful to Commerce Bank for hosting this food drive that will help put food into the hands of our neighbors in need."

Non-perishable food items can be dropped off through Monday, Nov. 21, at the following Commerce Bank locations: Holden - 1057 Main Street; Leominster - 565 Main Street; Marlborough - 322 Maple Street; Milford - 91 Main Street; Shrewsbury - 226 Boston Turnpike; Webster - 25 Worcester Road; Westborough - 5 East Main Street; West Boylston - 320 West Boylston Street;  Worcester - 386 Main Street, 11 Park Avenue, 560 Park Avenue, 993 Grafton Street and 451 Lincoln Street.
