Monday, Oct. 15

A History Of Samplers: 1 p.m. Holly Izard, curator of Collections at the Worcester Historical Museum, will share her knowledge on samplers, particularly those in the collection of the Worcester Historical Museum. Followed by Q&A. Free and open to all. Holden Senior Center.

Tuesday, Oct. 16

Family Dinner and Movie at the Gale Free Library: 6 p.m. Bring your dinner and watch the recent hit "Pirates – Land of Misfits," rated PG, on the big screen. 23 Highland St. Holden Chamber's Business After Hours. 5:30 p.m. The Holden Area Chamber of Commerce will host a Business After Hours networking event sponsored by The Motivact Group. The event will feature networking, hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar and door prizes. $15, or two for $20. Thai Island, 456 Main St. Mayo Elementary PTA Meeting: 7 p.m.  Chris Lucchesi from the Mountview Building Committee will be speaking about the proposed middle school building project. Dr. Leroy E. Last Day To Register to vote: The election is scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 6. New voters may register to vote until Wednesday, Oct. 17. The Town Clerk’s Office will remain open until 8 p.m.

Thursday, Oct. 18
Evening Story Time and Crafts at the Gale Free Library: 6 to 6:30 p.m. Join us for Slightly Scary Stories. Listen to scary stories and make a spooky craft to take home. Ages 3 ½ & up with caregiver. Library Program Room. Performing Groups: White Concert Band, Chorale, Chamber Orchestra, Concert Chorus, Wind Ensemble Neuropsychological Evaluations Workshop 7 p.m. Amy Shogren, a licensed psychologist with the Integrated Center for Child Development, will give a workshop for parents on neuropsychological assessments and how they can help their child.
