Plenty on Tap This Week In New Rochelle

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – Those planning out their week can check here for a look at some of the things going on in the city.

The ever-changing six piece band Silver Streaks headlines the Emil Paolucci Summer Concert Series at Hudson Park Bandshell.Wednesday at 7 p.m. with many different musical styles, sounds, and eras.

The Library green will come alive once again Thursday with Salsa Dance lessons beginning at 6 p.m. Latin music will then be played at 7 p.m. where attendees can show what they learned during the hour prior.

The farmer's market once again comes to town Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Later that night there will be “Yoga on the Green,” sponsored by Westchester Yoga Arts. Two classes are offered – 6 to 7 p.m. and 7:15 to 8:15 p.m.

The City Council meets Tuesday  from 7 to 9 p.m. in council chambers.

The Civil Service Comission meets at 3 p.m. in the Development Conference room. also on Tuesday.

The Westchester County Mobile Shredder will be available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday. Up to 10" x 12" x 15" file boxes of personal and confidential documents are accepted. Small business records are not accepted. Call the county's Recycling HelpLine at (914) 813-5425 for more information.

Davenport Park will be busy with music and art on Sunday as part of the New Rochelle Council on the Arts "Sunday in the Park South of the Border from 4 to 7 p.m. The raindate is July 31.
