HOLDEN, Mass. — Residents can enjoy a fall feast Oct. 6 to help support the Wachusett Food Pantry.

The Holden Grange will hold its meatloaf supper and auction at 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6,
at the Holden Senior Center, with the evening's menu to include meatloaf, mashed potatoes, butternut squash, green beans, rolls, homemade apple crisp with ice-cream, coffee, tea and milk.

Following the supper, home-grown produce and homemade baked goods will be auctioned off, with proceeds to benefit Wachusett Food Pantry.

Last fall, the Grange donated $1,160 from auction proceeds to the pantry, helping bolster the community organization for the winter. The Grange also used additional funds raised from the supper to help continue its monthly donations to the pantry.

As the number of families in need continues to grow in the area, contributions from the Grange and the community helped the food pantry in its efforts to provide emergency food to more than 314 Wachusett-area families throughout 2012.

The cost is $8 for adults and $4 for ages 12 and younger. Reservations can be made by calling 508-829-4771.
