HOLDEN, Mass. — The Holden Area Chamber of Commerce will hold its “Business After Hours” networking event next Wednesday at the Holden Rehab and Skilled Nursing Center, offering an early glimpse of the new facility.
Oriol Health Care began work on its expansion and renovation project last February, and has steadily made progress on creating a senior living and health-care campus on their 22-acre site.
Construction of the $16.6 million project began when builder Cutler Associates started site work and connected Mayo Drive and Boyden Road properties, which would combine the 100-bed Holden Rehab and Nursing Center and 41-bed Wachusett Extended Care into a facility to house 123 residents.
The combined building will include a large rehab program space and three nursing wings, or neighborhoods, one oriented toward WEC residents requiring ventilator support, one focused on traditional skilled-nursing beds, and one focused on short-term and out-patient rehab.
The Chamber event, to be sponsored and hosted by Oriol Health Care, will feature tours of the new construction at the Holden facility. It will also include networking, door prizes, hors d’oeuvres, beer and wine.
The event will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14 at 32 Mayo Drive in Holden.
The cost is $15 per person. As a special 20th anniversary rate, the Chamber is offering a price of two for $20 for members who pre-register and bring a guest.
